(More customer reviews)Once put together the chairs look nice. I bought them mostly for show in a small dining room that will get very little use. They look great. However, even though there are just a few screws, these chairs are the most difficult items I have ever had to assemble. It takes brute strength and a ton of patience. Once together they are sturdy enough to hold someone well over 200 lbs but would probably not hold up to daily abuse by a 6 year old.

Catskill Craftsmen Fold-A-Way Butcher Block Table Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this after an extensive physical and web search for a table to upgrade & replace TV tray tables. There is not a lot out there. The table was somewhat tricky to put together as some of the nuts (especially the four at the top) attach to the threaded bolts in holes that are no bigger than the tip of your finger. You have to do it almost blind as at that point you are working below the partially assembled unit. There is no reason the Catskill guys had to use threaded bolts here.... could've used wood screws as they did for the feet. But after a frustrating time it eventually was assembled. It is a very nice unit. Nice and sturdy. Maybe a bit heavy for some women or kids but has two nice handles for lifting and sets up in 15 seconds. Be warned it is table height not TV tray height. So when we sit at the couch our dinner plate is a bit high. It would be great to use with regular or folding chairs. Great for small NYC apartments were space is at a premium. It is basically unfinished and I am going to stain it a bit darker to match other wood in our room. I didn't give it a higher rating because of the assembly problem and the fact that it a bit over-priced at $175. That said I like it and use it a lot.

It was in a plastic container that was all scratched up and very little other packaging. The items inside were of good weight and size. So if you are buying them for personal use, they will be very pleasing. But beware, if you are giving them as a gift, you may need to repackage them.

I was pleasantly surprised, these chairs are wonderful. You can see the quality. Putting them together was a breeze for my husband (with a drill) use it if you have it instead of the allen wrench that comes with them. We ordered two sets of two for my kitchen and I may order more to replace the chairs in my dining room (in a different color when available. Great buy! I have had them for a total of four hours now. If I have issues with longevity I will let you know. But as of right now I could not be more pleased!!

Emory Triangle Counter Height Table by Ashley Furniture Review

(More customer reviews)We purchased this table along with the two benches and two bar stools directly from Ashley Furniture Home Store. It is absolutely beautiful and we get a ton of compliments on the set. HOWEVER...it has been nothing but a problem since delivery. The table was delivered with two huge gouges on the side edge. Ashley's came and fixed it within a few weeks and did a great job fixing it. I can't find the repair spots anywhere. The first time I cleaned the table, I used a microfiber cloth and water. The table had minature scratches all over it. After the first meal on the table, it looks horrible. Scratches everywhere...that's not all. Within the first month, both benches broke and we had to repair them ourselves. The one bar stool lug nut wasn't even installed correctly. Whoever put it together, stripped the nut and just stopped where it was.
Table was delivered the week before we moved into our new house. We moved 10/2/10. By Thanksgiving, we repaired every single piece of this set. The only reason I'm giving this a 2 start rating and not a 1 star rating is because it is beautiful, and I get a ton of compliments. Thank goodness we don't use our dining room on a daily basis.

Mahogany Finish Counter Height Dining Table & 8 High Chairs Set Review

Except for the delay I am pleased with the quality of the table and the 8 chairs that I purchased along with it as a set for about 870.00 plus shipping. My husband had to assemble all the pieces but it seems to be very sturdy and I couldn't be happier with my new dining set. Certainly will accommodate 8 quest comfortably .

The chair lift system wouldn't hold pressure. When anyone sat in the chair it sank down to the lowest point. When the person gets up, it raises up to the highest point. Very disappointed.

We started off with the 4 legged adjustable feeder with two holes, one for food, one for water. These were always needing to get wiped off with dogs that just can't seem to keep all their food in their mouths. we looked a long time for a single bowl adjustable feeder since the dogs get their water from somewhere else. There are a lot of nice ones out there, very decorative, but none of them adjusted to to the height we wanted. These bar stool adjustable feeders are AWESOME! Easy to assemble, sturdy, and adjustable up to 18". So if you have a giant breed dog and elevate your dogs food, I would highly recommend these very nice looking adjustable feeders.

The vertical steel tube that is supposed to screw into the base had malformed threads that would not allow it to be screwed into the base. The overall black paint coating was amateurish at best. The overall product is lightweight and would easily tip over by a large dog, that it was designed to serve. This product will disappoint those who are seeking a stable dual feed dish, in my opinion. It was a complete waste of time to order, wait, assemble, and rebox for a refund, which was the most pleasant part of this experience.

Black and Oak Counter Height Pub Set with Bench Review

(More customer reviews)FINALLY, a company that knows how to package something properly for shipping. It did have a 2 inch, shallow, semi circular ding on one of the stools. I'm guessing it was a manufacturing flaw because the packing it came in looked like it would fare well in a hurt locker, or at least thwart the damnedest efforts of the most brutally vengeful delivery dude. I HAD to mar the flawless table top with a belt buckle when I was moving it into place, can't help it no matter how careful I am, I always seem to scratch something brand new. No worries, a swipe with minwax stain 211 rendered table and stool scratches imperceptible to anyone who isn't hell bent on examining it like a lab geek on CSI. Couldn't ask for more, given the price. If it were 30-36 inches in the short run instead of 24 inches it would be better for two, but the bench makes it great for a single person because you can slide in without moving the bench to sit at the center of the table instead of feeling like a goof sitting at one end of the table when you're dining solo, but still have room for four when you have guests. It ain't gonna qualify for a future family heirloom, but it's a great piece for a small area. Seriously, for the price you could consider this disposable furniture, buy it to get you by in a pinch for 6 months or so, then buy something more expensive when you find the perfect scenario, and still have had a good deal. Or, you could just keep it as quality that rates somewhere between Ikea and World Market at a better price than either will offer. It's especially great for a single dude with a small place that decides they need an enjoyable area to eat besides the sofa, or over the sink, without breaking the bank. Even better, the table is the perfect height to stand and eat like happy hour in your own kitchen if you're prone to balk at completely civilizing yourself and occasionally feel the need to eat a Manwhich or an excellently greasy pizza standing up.

(More customer reviews)this dining set is gorgeous, although the espresso finish is not as dark as pictured. the table was easy to assemble. the chairs would have been easy to assemble, except on 3 of my chairs, the holes for the support bars that run between the front and back legs didn't align properly, so those support bars are tilting downward. but despite the flaw, the chairs are solid. the one "good" chair took half the time to assemble. the table looks great in my "cozy" LR, and for $50 cheaper, i would've given it a 5 star rating.

Medford 5-pc. Counter Height Set - Black Review

(More customer reviews)Now that I've got this table fully constructed and sitting in my dining room, I love it. It looks fantastic, is perfect for entertaining, and is a great space-saver. The counter-level height and the Asian-inspired barstools are chic, functional, and sturdy.
Shipping was fast: I ordered it from Target's website on a Thursday, and it arrived the following Tuesday. The shipping box was huge (4 feet square, 8 inches thick) and weighed about 90 pounds -- had to have a neighbor help me carry it inside. Happily, all the pieces were in perfect condition.
Putting the table together was amazingly easy: you just use the hardware and open-end wrench that come with the set to connect everything. The table was possibly the easiest piece of furniture I've ever put together.
On the other end of the spectrum are the barstools. The screws can only be tightened using the tiny Allen wrench provided in the hardware kit, and all the pre-drilled holes seemed either too tight or too short -- very frustrating. If you have a corresponding drill bit, you'll be in great shape and will probably have the barstools done in 30 minutes. If, like me, you don't have a drill bit, you'll be doing it by hand. I've put together a lot of DIY furniture, and these barstools were some of most difficult I've ever done.
Despite the difficulty of putting together the barstools (one star off for that), I really love the looks and functionality of this dining set and expect to enjoy it for many years to come.
