(More customer reviews)We bought a pair of these (with black seats) to go with the patio bar-height table. They look good and appear to be fairly sturdy. I would have rated them better but some of the details are a bit shoddy. Example: the little plastic do-hinkies that are hammered into the tubes to terminate the back rail are cheap, hard plastic and have some sharp edges exposed. Also the assembly is difficult because of manufacturing inprecision (thanks, China).
NOW A TIP. IF YOU BUY THEM, I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU MODIFY THE ASSEMBLY STEPS AS DETAILED BELOW.
First, the why: One of the two leg pieces of tubed sheet metal is fitted into a notch over the other, making an "X" if you look down at the assembly from above. Then each leg is screwed to a tubed sheet-metal ring about a foot off the floor to stablize the assembly. The problem is, the precision-tooled steel seat-swivel mechanism attaches to the top of the leg assembly and the fit between the two is somewhat dodgy. It takes some pulling the leg assembly this way and that to line up the holes, and then, at least one of the bolts may have to go in at a very slight angle because the swivel piece's holes are drilled ever so slightly too close together vis-a-vis the holes in the leg assembly below (a round metal rasp may help).
Now, the what: the instructions direct you to screw the seat frame to the swivel piece and THEN screw them to the leg assembly. DO NOT DO THIS. You will need the airspace above the swivel mechanism clear in order to wrestle it into place and screw it to the leg assembly. Put the swivel mechanism onto the leg assembly first. ALSO, when you screw the legs on to the tubed ring, keep the connections VERY loose until the swivel mechanism is bolted in place. THEN tighten them. Once the thing is all together from the swivel mechanism down, the seat frame can be attached easily, as it is a precision-welded piece and the bolt holes align easily with the swivel assembly.

Natural Wood Kitchen Cart with Breakfast Bar Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased one of these a couple of years ago. It has provided much more than I could have asked for the price paid.

My kitchen is rather small with little work space. I needed a place to knead bread and do other things but also needed it to roll out of the way when not needed. This island turned out to be perfect. It does require a bit of assembly. Took me about 90 minutes. The result was a handsome & functional island in unfinished rubberwood. You can finish it with most stains or wood finishes but I would recommend leaving the countertop unfinished. More sanitary & easier to keep clean. (Yes, handled properly, wood is every bit as sanitary as plastic, stone, or metal. Keep ALL liquids off of it!)
It's sturdy enough for hard kitchen use. I have pounded meat on it (on a cutting board) and beat bread dough to death. I have also used it as an impromptu breakfast bar & even rolled it onto the patio to use as a dry bar once. Worked wonderfully. But it really shines as a place to slice. dice, chop & mix. And it's the best bread board I've ever had. (NOTE: DO NOT USE A KNIFE ON THE WOOD!! Put a cutting board down to protect the surface.) It even holds 3 separate, operating machines (bread machine, slow cooker, & my large Kitchen-Aid stand mixer)& still leaves a good working area. The back leaf folds down & reduces the storage space when you need to roll it out of the way.
The only shortcomings (and they are minor) is the depth of the storage. The cabinets are not deep enough to store large pans. Youcan get two 1 gal. water/milk jugs back to back & that's about it. Also the drawers are too short & too shallow to store long items like ladles, cooking spoons, & butcher knives. A silverware tray won't fit. Also when assembling, stagger the 2 lockable wheels on opposite corners. Otherwise the island will pivot when pushed.
If you need working space for a small kitchen & don't want spend big bucks, this is the island to buy. After seeing mine & how I use it, several friends bought one too.

Adjustable Rolling Stool with Black Faux Leather seat Review

(More customer reviews)I received this stool quickly. It arrived two days after it was shipped. Assembly was very fast and easy. However, there is a small tear on the side of the seat covering (which I will repair), and it does not roll well. The castors are made of plastic and they sieze up and they do not swivel in the same direction at the same time. The base is sturdy and very stable. The gas pneumatic lift works well. I will try to salvage my investment by replacing the castors with ones of better quality.

Bar Table In 50's Retro Nostalgic Soda Fountain Style With Chrome Plating and Black Wooden Top Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this retro bar table, specifically because of its 30" diameter top. IT'S NOT 30" round, it's 24" round. The so called "formica" top is painted mdf. The chrome legs don't feel as if the finish will last very long either. The two good things I can say is, despite all of this, it is attractive and the metal ring around the black table top feels like it's made with some quality. This shipped from Hot Products and I can't say enough good things about there outstanding customer service. I only wish the table was as good a quality as they are.

The first stools I ordered were the wrong color (my fault) and Camelia was most helpful in assisting me in getting stools that matched the table. At first I thought the backs looked too short but now I love that they don't tower over the table. Very comfortable stools and a great price! Only problem I had was I was missing a few lock nuts but they cost almost nothing to replace at my hardware store! Thanks Camelia!
