(More customer reviews)Having bought a house with a kitchen island, I've spent a lot of time lately thinking about counter stools -- swivel or not, bare wood or padded, etc. I wanted something that would be comfortable but wouldn't take up much room, and rather than buy and assemble swivel stools with padded backs I decided to order two of these basic counter stools. I'm happy with them. They're comfortable and not too tall or too short. I'm also happy that absolutely no assembly was required. All I had to do was slice open the box, unwrap the protective covering, and they were ready to use.
