(More customer reviews)The "leather" is not real but synthetic and the "brass" rivets are plastic like and attached to each other and a little cheap looking. But for the price the product is solid wood and sturdy. If you had a mind to you could easily refinish the seat if you wanted. It would still be a good deal. The diamater is shallow and may not be comfortable for larger people. But as for me the stool takes up less space and is very comfy for the kids. All in all I like this product for the price.
