(More customer reviews)I built a bar for my house, and I needed to buy 4 stools. $39.00 on Amazon for TWO NEW wooden stools was a bargain (I also have Prime - free two day shipping - which made it even better). You really can't beat the price, even used stools on craigslist are (usually) more expensive.
They arrived in a basic cardboard box, with one upside down and one right side up to kind of mesh together and fit inside the box. While there wasn't additional padding in the box, I had no problem with scuffs or marks on my stools, and they looked nice upon arrival.
Basically, they are well constructed, using solid wood and have a nice, natural finish. There are no problems with loose pieces or uneven lengths, everything just fits and works. There really isn't much to say - they do their job, are comfortable and look great.
For new barstools at this price, I'd have to say don't be hesitant, just pull the trigger. I'm very happy with my purchase.
